Jack

Black and white cat wearing a red bow tie sitting on a wooden surface

Jack is our handsome, tuxedo-coated boy and the inspiration behind our very first product.  He's always dressed to impress with his formal black-and-white coat and he'll even tolerate a bowtie for the occasional photo shoot.  Jack tries very hard to keep up his serious look, only playing with a toy when no one is watching.

Two kittens inside a cat house

If you've read Jack's adoption story on The Cats page, you already know that he and his brother, Zanzibar, joined our family in 2018 as a bonded pair.

As a kitten, Jack was cool, confident and protective of his brother.

He quickly made himself at home in our family and boy did he grow!  He's the largest of all our cats, weighing in at 18.5 pounds.  And while he could stand to lose a few pounds, his stature is larger than an average housecat's with a big personality to go with it.

Like most cats, Jack's favorite pastime is sleeping.  He enjoys taking long naps on the bed, in a lap, or on a chair.  He's happy anywhere he can spread out and get comfortable.

Jack loves to join us at the dinner table and has excellent table manners.  When he wants more, he just sticks out his paw as if saying "please".  His love for the dining room, and the territorial scratching of the door frames that came with it, was the inspiration for our first product.

He's a mama's boy and can usually be found on my lap.  Whether it's a slow, Sunday morning in the rocking chair or a busy workday in the office chair, Jack is there, keeping my legs warm.
